May 28, 2019 and Quuppa Announce Partnership to Bring World-Class Location Solutions to the Market

scroll to top Inc., a location-based solution provider, and Quuppa Oy, a market leader in advanced indoor positioning technology, today announced a new partnership. The companies have joined forces, combining Quuppa’s technology and’s solutions, to develop more cutting edge location solutions for the multi-billion dollar Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) market.

The companies first crossed paths in early 2018, through a common end customer. While running a project using Quuppa’s technology, the end customer asked whether it would be possible to track’s Bluetooth® enabled tags, which were a good fit for the form specifications set by the use case. The customer required tags with a long battery life that were small enough to be attached to employee badges to improve work security and slim enough to be attached to products for asset tracking. In addition to technical compatibility, the companies recognized the potential for further collaboration.

The Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™ is an open platform that enables Ecosystem Partners to easily integrate the system into their own solutions. The Quuppa Partner Ecosystem includes tag manufacturers, installation services, software and end-to-end solution providers and system integrators. Today, is a qualified Quuppa Tag Partner, producing a portfolio of tag devices that are fully compatible with the Quuppa platform and have been certified as Quuppa Approved: Asset Tag S18-3Q, Card Tag CT18-3Q, Tough Beacon TB18-2Q, Smart Beacon SB18-3Q, Heavy Duty Beacon HD18-3Q, and couple of wearables to be added soon.

Commenting on the partnership, Santtu Pulli, Head of Product and Partnerships at, said: “The Quuppa tracking technology is a great complement to our standard hardware business. Extending our hardware with the new Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Angle of Arrival (AoA) capabilities allows us not only to serve new use cases, but also to build new relationships amongst Quuppa’s ecosystem partners. We are excited to work together with Quuppa first as a qualified Tag-partner and later on to use Quuppa technologies as an RTLS engine for our Simon platform in use cases in which high accuracy and low latency are required.”

Fabio Belloni, Chief Customer Officer and Co-founder at Quuppa said: “ has a very attractive offer of hardware devices with unique industrial design and sensing capabilities. We are excited about working together and believe this partnership will benefit both our business partners and customers, allowing them access to a high-quality portfolio of tags for RTLS. Also, going forward, we see a growing cooperation with as they introduce their new software platform product Simon AI to the market.” and Quuppa are looking forward to strengthening their partnership by further integrating their technologies into a world class location solution that includes’s tags, the Simon platform and the Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™.
