Las Vegas, NV (10th August 2015) - Kontakt.io, a leading global provider of proximity solutions, has announced today that they got IC certificate for their Kontakt.io Smart Beacon from Industry Canada Bureau. The technical requirements under Canada's Radiocommunication Regulations means also that a device meets the regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) of which Canada is a member.
Szymon Niemczura, CEO of Kontakt.io said, “Kontakt.io’s mission is to deliver best-in-class technology to our clients and the IC certicficate is yet another proof of the quality we provide. We are proud that the Kontakt.io tools make it easy and safe for proximity companies to build their own innovative IoT solutions and customize interactions with relevant proximity data easily.”
Kontakt.io has been already collaborating with hundreds of Canadian companies on test rollouts of varying sizes, including HotSpot, a Canadian mobile parking payment solution and a proximity marketing company.
Phillip Curley, CEO of HotSpot Parking said: “We’re going to be the biggest beacon deployment in the world, and if we’re going to hinge our business on one product, we need it to be the best product in the world. We need a product that’s dependable, that works 100% of the time in the field, and is flexible enough to let us do what we want. These need to be there to last, and stay out in active deployment for as long as the business needs them to. That’s why we decided on Kontakt.io’s hardware.”
