Your Role

Success in this position requires solid acumen with technical solutions, a passion for talking with people, problem solving, persistence, flexibility, proactiveness identifying opportunities and a strong drive to generate new business.


The success of the Account Executive will be measured upon the following:

  • Attainment of individual quarterly revenue goals
  • Proactive identification of and selling to new customer opportunities
  • Strategic targeting of identified industries, markets, customers
  • Above industry number of engagements made in a period
  • Technical and application creativity and customer leadership


The scope of the Account Executive’s responsibilities will include:


Creating and closing deals that will lead to above quota attainment from three sources

  • Business Development and outreach in identifying new Solution Provider for Kontakt.io’s infrastructure offering in the US (40%)
  • Business and Partner Development working directly with the sales teams or customers of existing and new technology and reseller partners (40%)
  • Customer development of inbound leads (20%)


To get there the Account Executive will

  • Lead development, management and sales execution for Kontakt.io opportunities in US focused on asset tracking solutions (RTLS)
  • Plan and manage the sales relationship between Kontakt.io and its most important strategic partners
  • Set up and negotiate frame contracts & agreements with strategic customers
  • Assess client needs and applying creative technical solutions for Kontakt.io products in an industrial environment
  • Drive application, technical and sales leadership
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations as well as identifying, coaching, training, technical assistance and professional development to distributors
  • Visit trade show and event support
  • When required, act as a Project Manager to ensure the final solution meets customer’s expectations
  • At all times maintain a strategic written plan that outlines how you will achieve your goals (strategy) and which tactics you will use to get there


Key skills and experience desired

  • Master’s degree or Diploma
  • Experience in the RTLS, IoT, Location Technology industry is a strong plus
  • 5+ years in a sales roles
  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 5-10% of a company) in past positions
  • Hunter Mentality
  • Experience in developing international strategic accounts, acting locally and in HQ organizations
  • Experience demonstrating high-tech products and solutions based selling
  • Experience working with, motivating, and driving Channel sales
  • A track record of developing and closing business
  • Expert knowledge of CRM products such as Salesforce.com
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and persuasively with a large assortment of people
  • Organization and time management skills, with ability to cope with fluctuating workload
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and varied job tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Incredible attention to detail, to ensure accurate use of internal systems and processing of information
  • Analytical, technical and problem solving skills that can be applied to real world solutions
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
  • Home office based position available in the US


And a plus:

  • Experience of selling to/working with large enterprise accounts
  • Prospecting / Outbound / Cold Calling experience
  • High-growth start-up experience
