The BeaconValley Hackathon is Back… and it’s More #ExtraOrdinary than Ever Before
In just under a month one of the most exciting events (if we may say so ourselves) in beacon history is taking place. The BeaconValley Conference & Hackathon, #ExtraOrdinary edition.
If you attended the Kontakt.io BeaconValley Global Hackathon last November, you’ll remember 250 hackers and 39 teams participated, and in total 32 ready-to-use app were developed. The challenge: create a smart city app that would solve a problem in at least one of the following areas: culture, health, transportation, or commerce.
This year is set to be even more #Extraordinary. Everyone out there interested in beacon technology is warmly invited to experience and learn how to build #ExtraOrdinary apps – all empowered by Kontakt.io beacons. We’ll be working with our newest state-of-the-art hardware including the USB Beacon and the Smart Beacon Two.
All attendees will benefit in the following ways:
- You will be able to start your own business empowered by beacons in 24 hours – you’ll get great tech to play with and access to the best IoT mentors.
- You can experience beacon technology on a whole new level thanks to our beacon showroom, with apps from Indoo.rs, Proximi.io, HG intelligence and more.
This event isn’t only about business and education though. It’s going to be fun, too! We’re going to test Oculus Rift, Leapmotion, OMV and watch Kung Fury. Plus, there’s a chance to win cool prizes including a Pebble Watch, Mini Drone, and BB8!
The beacon hackathon will take place in Krakow on 11th and 12th June but the whole world can attend as it will also be available via live stream.
What’s more, we’ll have our recruiting hats on, looking out for future #ExtraOrdinary team members.
