Kontakt.io Is Joining up With HG Intelligence to Target Smart Cities

Smart cities, of course, are cities that are collecting and disseminating data through the use of proximity intelligence. Beacons are a fantastic way to do just that, so it’s not too surprising that we’re looking at how we can help cities all around the world gather more data and tell their citizens about relevant details.

From the city telling residents if a bus is running late to citizens reporting potholes or paying for park admission, the utility of beacons in smart cities is nearly limitless, and the subject of smart cities is one of the hottest topics touched on by technological media and city authorities over the last few months. This collaboration between Kontakt.io and HG Intelligence is an investment in Polish and Krakowian technological solutions. Both companies are developing their technologies based solely on trademark solutions, and their products are made in Poland and the EU.
“A multidimensional collaboration will allow us to finish our projects more quickly and effectively. Having companies like Kontakt.io on our side allows us to concentrate on the solutions closest to us, like programming,” says Jaroslaw Krolewski, the managing director of HG Intelligence. “Our previous investments in hardware have allowed us to prepare ‘tailor-made’ solutions, mainly for larger companies. It’s only natural to work with a companies that specializes in delivering the other side of this equation. When it comes to contextual technology like Bluetooth Low Energy, Kontant.io seemed like the most natural partner to choose.”
HG Intelligence S.A. is one of the first companies in Europe to introduce Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology into the retail sector and has had successful deployments with big brands like the Gino Rossi. HG Intelligence helps large retail companies carry out complex business procedures, like managing customer loyalty and improving customer experience.
“Smart cities are the answer to many of the problems that both small and large cities face. These problems are among other important issues such as public transport, the upkeep and development of infrastructure, air quality, and the comfort and safety of the city’s residents. This initiative should help the city optimize public transport, precisely measure the concentration of pollution of Cracow’s air, and gather even more crucial data that previously was extremely expensive—or impossible—to acquire. That’s the first step to getting realistic results and improving the quality of living in Cracow.” says Szymon Niemczura, the CEO of Kontakt.io.
The collaboration of the two companies isn’t closing any doors to other potential business partners, but is rather a kind of invitation for other companies to work as groups with them.
